I saw this on another post and wanted to start one here.

What is the best hunting tip you ever got.

Here is mine:
Always where a sweatshirt or jacket that has a hood. Reason is that when you are sitting on a high advantage the wind always blows and if the back of you neck gets chilled is seems to go through your whole body and if you intend on staying on that vantage you got to keep your neck warm. Legs for me don't get chilled and neither does my chest but if that neck chills you then the only way to get warm again is to get up and hike around. From My Dad-1980

When looking for deer look for pieces don't look for entire deer.

Enjoy the hunt, and don't worry about getting something.

Just because you saw no deer this time doesn't mean there isn't any deer. You need to keep going back. If I called you on the phone and you don't answer does that mean you don't live there anymore? I'm gonna keep calling till you get home.

Always where a T-shirt with a pocket just in case you forget your TP.

"Don't wear white" I can't believe how many people wear a white tee shirt hunting. You look like a neon sign!!! If deer's vision is like a black and white tv, then white is the brightest thing you see. Especially when moving, I'll spot a white tee shirt miles away

Best hunting tip? Don't forget the TP or you'll come back to camp with half a shirt! :bounce-aqua:

Hunt where the deer are, not where you want them to be.

The more you go, the more you'll see.

It's better to walk without underwear than to walk without wiping.

If you end up shooting a deer and it's not hit squarely, don't push it. Stop! Take a chill pill and wait for an hour. Pushing a wounded deer will only decrease your chances of finding it. Wait a while and let it lay down and expire....

Don't wear corduroy pants while hunting, as you walk the pant legs rub together making a heck of a racket! Learned this one from my dad back in the 70's after taking a butt chewing.:)

One tip I have given:

"Hunt with someone else next time!"
