Was up at Big Bear yesterday and the action has heated back up. There was no visible spawning activity but there were literally thousands of small males that have moved back shallow. Right now the algea is ok in Grout and Metcalf bays so you can still see fish, when the sun is shining of course.

If the sun had been shining all day yesterday we would have easily filled to barrels with fish.

Deeper water the big fish are hanging out just cruising around the surface in small pods. Mike and I killed several over 10 lb in 17-18ft of water.

If anyone is heading there in the next day or two I would definitely go to Metcalf Bay where Halloway's is. Ankle deep water the fish were just everywhere.

No it's 17 feet deep but they are on the surface or a couple feet deep.
