The shooting was a little disappointing to say the least. We got up there around 9:30am and hit the board walk immediately. I connected with the first 4 I shot at that were starting to hang in the shade, but the wind was already up and visibility was horrible. We scratced out 2 more before they disappeared around 11:00am.

After some lunch we checked a bunch of other spots around the big lake and saw a ton of trout up in the shallows but only saw one carp.

A boat is definitely the way to go for right now.

Yeah, it didn't really get too good until around the 3rd week in May last year from the shore, but I figured I would try. It should be better this weekend as long as the wind doesn't come up. We'll be back up next weekend.

For you boaters: There was a lot of vegetation in the Fawnskin cove that was out of bow range from the shore. Should be holding fish.
