Big Island Bird Hunting

We recently bought a house in Honokaa that we plan to use part time. Any suggestions on public areas to bird hunt next fall ? I'm not looking for anyone's secret spot but just general areas to chase some birds.

It has been really dry for the past couple of years. I would suggest to just go in Lau Ranch. I know at the beginning of the year quite a few pheasants came out. So it is hard to say where they are, it is kind of hit and miss, much slower than the good years but the same as last year.
