I was just wondering if anyone has been to Big Sandy lately? I have'nt been down that way since last summer. I was thinking that it might be worth a look since it has been raining somewhat lately. My son (who is 9) has been pleading to go with me and watch, so it might be a good first time for him. Even if we don't come home with something, the worst day outdoors hunting is better than the best day at work or indoors, right?

rtbx15,
Save your gas money. You probably won't see ANY pigs at Big Sandy. It is a marginal place at best. The pigs are always on the move and only pass through big Sandy on the way to water in the Salinas River. My suggestion is take your son on a guided hunt in or around Parkfield. There are loads of pigs and the guides know where they are and how to hunt them. If not try FHL, or Camp Bob...
