Never owned a pair of nice binoculars. Always went for the sales at walmart. The most expensive binoculars owned where probably $45. I would like to purchase a decent set before deer season opens.Would like to stay in the $300 range. do not know much about them and was hopping for some guidance. Cabelas has a couple pairs i am interested in but am not familiar with the differences, pros and cons. here is a list of the bino's i have been looking at:

what is a good power for deer hunting 8,10, 12? the wider the better right?
