I shot a dove that fell into a island of trees in a big weed field where winterwheat had been harvested. I looked for it for quite awhile then gave up. A little while later I decided to look again and no luck. Then as I was sitting in the spot where I had shot from, I thought, it has to be right THERE! I went to look again, and what do I find.....A large black snake had my dove in its mouth, just the head of the bird. Sure wish I had my camcorder for this one. I took a tree branch and shoooed the snake away, cleaned it and through the remains back for the black snake.

Hey, H&W!

I know what you mean, about wishing you had a camcorder with you. I finally bit the bullet, and sprung for a nice, compact digital camera to carry around with me, while in the woods. I don't know how many times I wished I at least had a camera with me. Well, this year I will!

If I get any cool pic's, I'll post 'em up...
