Impressive ammo, and it works as advertised... extremely devastating and the .308 and 30-06 rounds I tested were plenty accurate (the 30-06 was VERY accurate and consistent).

If I were hunting coyotes or depredating, or if I were using it on a target that shoots back, I think it's some of the best ammo you can buy. I really like the idea of use for home defense... no pass-through concerns. Likewise, it'd be perfect for shooting varmints in populated areas.

However, as a sport hunter, I wasn't real happy with the effect on edible meat. In the vid, it looks like a clean headshot so of course there's no meat loss there (unless you eat brains). But we know hunting situations seldom permit perfect placement (and head shots are not a great call for the sport hunter anyway). These bullets make a very impressive entrance wound, and the channel continues inward for several inches. Hit bone, and it's like a grenade going off.

This pic (below) is the ENTRY wound on the axis doe (about the size of a small blacktail). The shot hit far back, and angled forward. Bloodshot included most of the onside backstrap, both tenderloins, and part of the offside backstrap... not to mention the rib meat.

I had a couple of great conversations with Mr Mullins (Extreme Shock founder/boss/President) and I like what he's trying to do. He's provided an excellent round for military and police snipers, and his self-defense ammo is awesome. But I just can't get behind it as the best choice for a hunting round, even if it is lead-free.

Don't think I agree with using this caliber / gun combo for hogs , that pipsqueak gun is a plinking / defensive handgun , the ones I've seen don't really have any sights ( adjustable anyway ). In my book it is an unethical hunt and akin to a sunt show !

I know pigs have been killed by less and its the same difference to me !

Dan, that hunt with the .32 WAS a stunt show. Pure marketing for ExtremeShock... and they're not trying to sell the .32 for hunters.

Still, this kind of thing reminds me of the pellet gun killing a boar in the GAMO ad. It just doesn't look good, and it does raise ethical questions about the use of live game for this type of advertising.
