Turkey hunting at Fort Hunter Liggett this past weekend and the bobcats were everywhere. This guy strolled out in the road about 100 yards away and just stood perfectly broadside. Of course bobcat season ended the last of January here.

Nice pic Spectr. Do they allow bobcat hunting at FHL during season?

Evan III, I believe FHL allows bobcat hunting during bobcat season.  And I saw a bobcat the last time I was out there last month.

Thanks Bill, I think I'll be making a few trips out there for bobcat next season.

If you get a bobcat hide is it legal to ship it out of state and sell it? I read the DFG regulations and it seems that your not, but it's unclear.

rlwright,

You can sell 'cat hides (in or out of state) only if you possess a trapping license.  To ship it, you must include your trapping license number, cat tag and other pertinent information on the shipping manifest designated for fur or other animal parts.

Hope this helps.
