I finally got around to booking my first Hog hunt ever.:pig-laughing: It will be at BigHorn canhyon Ranch. Should be a good one for learning and gering out there while I am getting my sorry butt into better shape. Any suggestions for gear to take? I have my CZ527 in 7.62x39 and federal softpoints. Also any siggestions for a good butcher in OC near Fullerton?

If I were you I would hold out for a BIG TOOTH boar and bleach the skull!!!!! Or take a meat pig and a nice looking ram to do a euro mount on. Take your time and dont shoot the first thing that runs by. From what Ive heard there are allot of animals!!!!

My sons buddy got his first hog there he could not stop talking about what a rush it was for him and the 250# hog he shot that came charging him and his buddy he un loaded his 357 pistol did not hit it once his buddy put a slug in it then it was toes up going head over hoofs down a 200ft cliff. He has shot one with a rifle and one with a bow and hes going next week, he wants my son to go with so he can video this hunt. Good luck.
