Um, prohunter, did you check their rating on Reseller ratings.com. They appear to be one of the NY rip off camera stores.

http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2359.html

Their rating of 0.19 out of 10 is the lowest I've ever seen.

Just hope you get your camera. Every review said they sucked. If you went for lowest price you're probably going to get burned. Cancel your order now and avoid all the phone calls and hassles. Trust me. I've seen this before.

Just kidding, wow, sounds like those are some real shisters up there. I hope you either get your camera or cancel your order. Let us know what happens.

I played around with a C-720 in Circuit City this week. It was pretty nice. I like all the features and the zoom was nice. I think the 730 would be really great. I've done some more research and I really like the C-2100 too. It is discontinued and I haven't been able to find a new one anywhere under $800. I did find a couple refurbs but I'm not sure if buying one is a good idea or not?

I'm still mulling it all over.

Guys,

I have the c700 and absolutely love the camera. The 10X zoom is great and really allows me to get up close and personal.

I hear the newer ones may not have quite as much zoom, but the MP's go up a bit.

Good luck on getting the cam. Jesse is right about cameratopia.

Well finally got ahold of cameratopia people & cancelled my order. I also called my credit card & they said nothing had been charged. They also said they could not stop the charge , but I could dispute it if & when it ever happened. Any other ideas where to buy Olympus cameras at a discount? I tried the 2 places Jesse said to try, but they don't have Olympus. Thanks!!

Does either the 720 or the 730 have the image stabilization?

I just ordered a C-730 from B&H Photo & Video which is one of (I think) Jesse's recommended sites. The price was $499. This is not too bad considering that Best Buy is selling the C-720 for that price. I could not find a local store that carried the C-730, and the last place I checked, the salesman told me to buy it online, but ONLY from B&H!

Update - I ordered the C-730 online from B&H Photo and Video on 12/29/02. Last night (01/01/03) I went to the FedEx website to track the shipment. My camera is in the Houston FedEx terminal, presumably to be delivered today! I did not even get a phone call from the vendor trying to sell me accessories!

New Update - Camera arrived today!!! B&H "rocks"!
