For those interested, here is a kenetic enegry calculator. It is recomended that you shoot at least 40 feet/pounds for total pass through on a whitetail deer.
For instance, I shoot a 325 grain arrow at 256 fps. That relates to 47.3 feet /pounds of kenetic energy.
