I am not sold on the rage yet. I bought some rage 2 blades and after shooting them several times they do not open up at impact anymore.
They opened up fine initially but after several shots they don't. I even use new O-rings on every shot just to keep everything constant. I think the problem is the corner that holds the blade in place is digging at the base (metal to metal) of the O-ring causing it not to open up.
I am still doing more testing but so far this is the case. I do have some good news. The good news is that it shoots just as accurate if you leave the blades dangling. Meaning you don't need to fold them in and tucked inside the O-ring. Just leave them dangling and shoot.
What I've found is that they not only shoot straight but they generate an even BIGGER entry hole. The full lenght of both blades which is about 3 inches or so.
I plan on shooting these thru some beef rib bones (bought from the store) at 20yds and see if they penetrate or not.
If they do then my next step is to check for accuracy and penetration at longer ranges.
I have seen and read a lot about rage but there's nothing like doing your own experiments and get the answers for yourself.
