I have been offered a Browning 308. Not sure what model. Saw it years ago and looked to be in excellent condition. Only thing is I know little about that caliber. I'd like to hear some experiences and opinions. I especilly interested in learning more about its trajectory and down range capabilities. I like flat shooting and am not sure this will fit my style.

It may not be the flattest shooting round out there but it is PLENTY flat for shooting anything out to at least 300 yards. It has a very predictable and consistent trajectory and it extremely accurate. This is why many law enforcement groups and the military often uses a .308 for sniper rifles. If the price is right, jump on it. The .308 will do you very well. Another bonus is it is light recoiling and ammo is everywhere and cheap.
