Browning Hells Canyon vs. Remington AWR in .300 WM

Hello, I'm looking for a .300 Win Mag to round out my hunting arsenal as a long-range deer and medium-range elk gun. I already reload .308 bullets for my .308 Rem. 788 and .30-06 Rem. 760. I've narrowed the choices down to either the Browning Hells Canyon Speed X-Bolt with the McMillan stock or the Remington 700 American Wilderness Rifle. Is anyone here familiar with either gun? The Browning costs about $1k more than the Remington but all the reviews I've read on the Browning are favorable, which cannot be said about the AWR, unfortunately. Appreciate any insight to help out with the decision. Thanks. Might go ahead and post the same thread on the Elk sub-forum as well.

I posted this on the Gun and Elk sub-forums without any luck. Thought I'd check here as well.
