I have add at my concession in Zimbabwe a really interesting hunting area at the border of Kruger National Park.So no charter flight.
This area is very easy to access from the south african border (about 50 kms from Beit Bridge).
The price ( 2 hunters x1 PH)is 6.500 US/Euro seven days of hunt, Buffalo trophy, meals and lodging.

Mario, Who is doing the pack and dip? Are these certified safe buffalo for export to the USA? Who is doing the export papers? what size buffalo can you expect to see and shoot? Will the paperwork be done to leave Zim with the buffalo hide and cape when the hunters return or must they be left behind and shipped at a later date. Zim is a bit volitale now and I would not want to leave my trophies behind in Mugabe's out of control government now.

If the trophies will be processed in South Africa then that's OK but then they must be deemed "safe" buffalo or SA will not do it. You understand the term Safe Buffalo right? Vet approved from healthy heards acceptable for export. No Hoof and mouth, teberculosis, or other common easily spread bovine problems. Let me know.

jjhack,

Zimbabwe exports over 500 buffalo trophies to all over the world every year.
99 % of these are dirty buffalo. There is no restriction to dirty buffalo to any country in the world if the trophies are treated correctly.- even to S Africa.
The shipping agent can send the dirty buffalo trophy after treatment to S Africa for to do the trophies.
All the shipping paper work is done by the shipping agent - Taxidermy Enterprises of Bulawayo. The problems whit mugabe are not the problems of safari industry.

There are issues with "dirty Buffalo" as you call them in the USA. I'm not sure what must be done because all of the buffalo we hunt are "safe buffalo" As far as the safari problems not being affected by Mugabe.......... Well the US state department has issued travel warnings to US citizens for Zimbabwe. I would call that a concern for Americans and the Safari industry if your a white guy!

For my experience the situation in zim is not dangerous for the foreign hunters. Othewise I dont take the concession in this country, where I will go whit my wife and parents. All the Africa is a little bit more dangerous of America and Europe, also South Africa. Last week an italian manager was killed in Cape Town. But this is not the reason for stopping the tourism and hunting in your country.
