I recently had a pair of bushnell trophy's stolen from my truck and i am tryin to decide on whether to stick with the 10x42 or upgrade to 12x50 i have looked thru them both in stores but wanted anyones opinion on what the main difference between a 12x and 10x besides the main specs. if anyone has a personal experience that would be nice...Ido a lot of hunting and glassing so i need the good pair, and love bushnell. Thanks

I have the 8 x42 Legends.Love that Rainguard! I am looking at animals while my buddies lens are fogged up from their breath. I went with the 8's due to the lighter weight, and I still feel they give me all I need.

Do you carry a spotting scope? If not, and you hunt wide open spaces, and are looking more for what type of head gear an animal is wearing than simply to know if it is a buck or bull, then get the 12's. If not then the 10's may be a little more comfortable to wear all day due to the lighter weight, and still give you excellent magnification and clarity. As for a "twilight" factor they are very close. The 10's are at 4.2 and the 12's at 4.16.
