Looking to see if anyone out there knows of a good butcher/meat locker in the Los Alamos, New Mexico area. I'm heading out for a hunt and would like to hang my quarters (if I should be so lucky) for a couple of days prior to heading home.

If they are good meat processors I'd also be interested in getting the meat processed.

Thanks in advance.

I live in SE NM and it is getting pretty cold in the evening. I just checked accuweather for los alamos and my bet is that it will get below freezing in the evening.
If thats the case hang quarters in the shade in a game bag and at night they will semi freeze and during the day wrap with something to insulate them like (sleeping bags or blankets) and they should be fine for the drive home. Wrap them up for the drive home and maybe even throw some dry ice in with them.

Good luck.

I agree with paulc. I also live in NM and I must say it has been getting colder out here.
