buying binocs off of ebay?

I've been looking to replace my cheap binocs for a new pair. The ones I have been looking at are the Pentax DCF 's 8x42, which I have seen at most sites for $280. Checked out ebay and saw them for $226. The thing that makes me wonder is that they have been posted a few times before and never bought. What do you guys think?

I think the reason that they havent been bought is because they are the HR models. The good DCF's are the WP models. I have heard that the objective lenses tend to fall out of the HR models and they are not waterproof.

In the description it says they are waterproof,
