After about a month of comparing various binoculars, I've narrowed it down to two. I was leaning towards the Nikon Monarch ATB 10X42, because for the money, it seems like a good set of glass - phase coated and waterproof all for $255 - $300. Now I'm leaning toward the WindRiver Pinnacle 10X42's. They cost a little more, $378 - $450, but I think they might be a little better than the Nikons. BVD gave them a great review, as long as you don't wear glasses, and they look pretty darn good to me. You also get a much better warranty with the WindRivers plus the reputation of Leupold. Yeah, I know, their not Swarovski's or Leica's, but I just can't justify spending an extra $800 when, side by side, I can't tell a difference. I don't mean to offend any of you Austrian glass fans, it's just to my uneducated eye and modest pocket book, the WindRivers look great. Any final advice would be greatly appreciated. I'll get them ordered on Friday and will be sure to post a review when I check them out.

Thanks,

Brad
