Congrats Ed. I saw the herd last weekend on my way to Bishop. A buddy drew a Lone Pine cow tag 3 years ago and I went with him. It was a blast.

Good luck Ed. I drew the West Tinemeha antlerless last year. Need any info. I know every inch of that Big Pine area. There is some nice Bulls on both sides of the highway.

on the elk tag. I took a nice 5x7 bull (Lone Pine) in 94'. I still have all my topo's that are marked up with scouting info. Your welcome to them if you need them. Anything I can do to help just let me know.
P.S. That bull WAS a 7x7 but broke off 2 points messing with the boys.

Hey batch, you got mail!!! I drew the West Tinemaha antlerless this year! Got my 2nd. choice for deer, X10. Was expecting to get my first choice G6, but am way excited about the Elk draw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ds2 your best bet for getting a cow is to sit in the trees that line the creek on the west side of the road. Dont let them see you go in and dont let them smell you. Most of the cows are all in one big group but there are a few smaller bunches around but you can pretty much forget about stalking them when there in a herd those ladies busted me many times last year while I was stalking the bulls with them. Good luck!

Brut did I see you there last year? I was period 1. One guy got his cow on about the 5th day. The other 2 got there Bulls and I got my cow all on the last day. All but the 1st cow were taken outside of the fields.
