California coastal Blacktails

I'm new to shed hunting and wanted to see if any other guys here in Cali are seeing antlers drop on the Blacktails. I found my very first shed a couple of weeks ago. I was walking a fence line when I looked down and saw what I thought was a stick jutting out of the ground. After looking closer I could see nubs near the end and I knew it was a shed. I pulled it out of the wet dirt and it was a pretty decent shed. It had gotten buried when the dirt had been plowed near the fence line and dirt was thrown over the shed. I couldn't locate the other so it was probably found by someone else. It was a year old but having been in the ground it was perfectly preserved. Nice brown color. This really got my juices going. I can't wait to find more.

Well it is good to know that you now have the bug....Good luck to you in the future. Yes they are starting to drop. I found two fresh ones and a whole mess of old ones yesterday. I don't think they have all started yet though

They should all drop by the end of the month with some of them dropping now.
