I saw in the latest issue where some of the zones moved the closing from 31 Jan to 31 Dec. Any thoughts on this from the Cali crowd? I don't have the mag with me and can't remember specific details but it seemed like all the areas were around LA and San Diego.

Hey Tominator,

Maybe you wanna ask about this in the Blacktail or Muley forum?  :shades-smoke:

There was some discussion about it earlier.

I'll go there and check, I guess being from the south makes you automatically assume whitetail when you see the word "deer", my bad.

No problem, Tominator.  Just figured most of the whitetail hunters aren't gonna care much if CA deer seasons get cut short.  :roll-wink-green:

Yeah, that was my bow zone they cut 1 month off. Supposedly so DFG biologists can get the deer harvest numbers in in time for their publication.

Jan was cooler weather and less hunters and I had one or two weeks of bowhunting that didn't cut into my duck hunting.
