has anyone used the old owl camera with the slide switch? do they take good pics?i noticed on the instructions to wire it up it says that some refresh and some dont. How can you tell which do? i hate to buy one and it not be suitable.

Hi fox,
The only way to tell is to bench test it - turn it on and let it sit for a few hours and try to take a pic.
Only a few of this model have turned up that power-down and need to be physically switched off and back on in order to work.  Most likely you'll get a "keeper", but you can't be 100% sure till you try it.

i have bought 2 off ebay that were fine. I emailed the seller before i bought it and had them test it for me and then bid.

I have bought about 7 off of ebay and everyone was "OK".

The thing I like about these cameras is after they sit for 2 days the flash response time is still very quick(unlike the PF)
