We are headed out to Camp Bob today for a shot at the hogs. The rain is here! Who is planning on going? Gunner I missed you last time. I'll explain later. I will be staying at the Western States Inn in San Miguel. I am drivin a 2007 Grey chevy 4x4. Is anyone else going? Hunthard? I will havemy laptop and will check this post tonight too.

I'll be out there camped at the tracks in a silver tacoma w/ shell. Gonna try for pigs and was thinking about looking for some ducks too since the quail hunting seems to be down this year. From the CR posts the past month or so it doesn't seem like too many pigs coming out of there, is that the case? Maybe that's because Hunthard hasn't been there yet
Hopefully this rain will bring us luck. Anybody ever have any luck with ducks there?

Between October and November three hunts were conducted. During that time 300 hunters have hunted CR, only one pig has been taken, and that was in area 2. In addition, the base has ramped up its training with the firing ranges, both rifle and artillery. I got this info from Jeff, the DFG employee working the shack.
In addition, its very dry this year, if you guys see the river you will be shocked on how little water is flowing through it, you can easily cross it by foot.

I kinda like being able to stay in a comfy motel and be hunting at daylight. Having wi-fi makes it all that much better.

Cda55 i just seen this topic the last time we were there it seemed pretty dry i was hoping to get more rain. maybe will hook up were going up on the 27 of Dec. the hog hunting was awsome this year for are group we all got 16 hogs all togeter ive learned alot more about hog hunting thanks to JHO and a couple of guided hunts. ill drop in so we can talk. We just got back clinton we seen lots of tracks and digging up in the higher ground but didnt see a single hog its been cold i think there coming out at night with all the sighn that is there. Good Luck on your hunt and stay dry because there exspecting rain.
