Has anyone heard anything about the new Canon Rebel 600D Digital SLR. It is 6.3 MP and you have the ability to change the lenses. Sounds like a pretty good camera. The price right now is $899 without a lens and $999 with a lens. It sounds like it is good on action photos and there is little delay with the AF. I would like to know if anyone has seen one and has any hands one experience with one. I would think the prices would drop on the camera after the holidays.
I have a friend who got one the day they came out. They are an awsome camera! If I could afford it right now, I would buy one in a second. I have played around with it and it is very nice to use.
I just had one in my hands today looking at it. I currently have an Elan II and a Elan 7. From everything I can see it is a good buy. All my Canon lenses will fit it. My 70 to 300 zoom becomes a 105 to 450 zoom on the digital side. I was looking at the 10D but I don't see that much of a difference for the $600 difference in the price tags. Almost all the internal parts are the same. One of the differences that didn't really make a difference to me was. The Rebel will only take a 4 shot burst instead of an 8 shot burst like the 10D before having to cycle the battery and save the pics to the flash card.
I'll probably be selling my Elan II to help with the purchase sometime soon.
