My little olympus doesn't cut it for wildlife, really liked the reviews I have read on this, just curious about all the lump deals on ebay? Checked out some of the regulars photos on here and I see a variety of cams and lenses, any opinions?
Also do my daughters High school sports, indoor and outdoor.

I've been looking to pull the trigger on one myself---done a lot of research. I'd stay clear of the "deals" on eBay. If you look at pricegrabber.com or cnet.com and compare prices you can find the kit (body and lense) for about $840 shipped from a GOOD dealer (check Jesse's post in the pinned topics--check out reseller rating!!) These legit dealers also offer some package deals also. The prices on eBay aren't very impressive and the shipping tends to be high. If I was going to buy mine right now I'd probably look to buydig.com--they have the all black for about $840 shipped and that's the body/lense kit. If you want silver you can get that for a little cheaper I think....Hope this helps...

Dmach,
I got one a couple months ago. I wish I had just bought the body because I never use the kit lens. It takes good pictures, but if I had to do it over again, I would get just the body or the kit with the 17-85 IS kit lens. I find myself keeping a Tamron 28-75 2.8 Di on mine 80% of the time and a Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 the rest.

Great Camera.

I have purchased from B&H, Adorama and Buydig.com with no problems.

Now onto the camera. From everything I've seen the XT is a great cam, however...

If it was me, I would go with the 20D and spend the extra money. The features for me are better on the 20D. More AF points and more fps. You just have to decide which features are you going to use the most.

For the lenses: If you are goint to seriously(sp?) shoot indoors the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 is a great lens. Indoor light is not the greatest and you will need a fast lens. I know that's expensive, but I'd say it's the best. With a 1.4xTC you can make it a longer lens and save some money.

Hope this helps.

Helps alot, was reading about the fast lense and indoor shooting, I'm talking Basketball and the lights in a gym seem to be a problem, using the olympus anyone moving looks like an angel, played around alot in manaul and never hit the right combo before I would get frustrated and watch the game. Still checking around for pricing.

Dmach8, check some of the photography boards( fred miranda) for used gear. There are some good deals to be had.

On your P&S, can you bump up the ISO? If so try 400 or 800 indoors with a low f/stop, you might be able to get some faster shutter speeds.
