CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation's (MDC) Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center will hold a night fishing event for children May 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. “Nature Center at Night” will feature lessons on the basics of fishing and the whole family is invited to the Nature Center’s kid’s fishing pond to see what kind of monsters will be pulled out in the twilight hours.
According to MDC Naturalist Jen Weaver, fishing is such a great way to get out in nature and be outdoors that more than 1.3 million Missourians take part in the sport.
