I've seen atleast 2 dozen posts making fun of big horn in the last year or so, but before coming to jesses hunting forum i'd never heard of them. No I'm not intersted in shooting a tied up pig. But do they have a website? or a phone number anything like that?

Just curious seems theres got to be more to it them i read here. maybe not.

Thats interesting. only $25 for a hunt if an animals not taken, sounds like as much of a 'put in take out' as it gets. I guess theres a place for it all in the hunting world. Maybe someone who no longer has the strength to walk the hills of tejon something along that line. looks like theres a place for everything.

Personally hunting a place like that is not for me...

Thanks for the link!

I may take my 8yr old this Saturday. He was mad that I went to Tejon w/out him. I'm waiting for Cathy to call me back and let me know if they let kids hunt.

They sometimes get Wild pigs and they also have pigs that wre trapped in texas. They are pretty much tame.

I went there once to kill something with my new bow.

It's a great place to take a kid or a newbe bow hunter. Nice place to harvest, but not a hunt IMO.

i saw what somebody said was a pic of some game fromthat ranch. I think there was 3 pigs and a guy with a handgun. They looked as taim as it gets but they were huge.

Some people just wanna see what their new toy can do. I'm not appose to that specially sense I myself am STILL trying to get my first bow kill and have been unsuccessful on so many occassions. Just get too nervous...

Not to mention first time hunters and people who just want to have a half way hunting experience and put some meat in the freezer.

I've hunted Big Horn. It was about three years ago. Like somone earlier said I was one of those guys who just wanted to try out my new toy. You don't shoot tied up pigs. Actually, I went there for pig and I came around a corner and spooked a group of them into some really thick brush and never saw them again. It was getting late so the guy came by on his quad and asked if I wanted to shoot a Corsican Ram. I didn't come there for that but figured, "What the hay." So I ended up shooting one at around 125 yards. It's good for what it is = okay sized land and a ton of animals.
