A weeping willow tree fell on one of our employees truck today. There was no wind today. Not a lot of roots holding the tree up. The tree fell smack in the middle of this guys truck. Crushing the cab, tailgate and hood. The truck is totalled. He was the only one to park in the back parking lot today. Bad luck for him.

The tree is covered with poison ivy, which now I'm probably get since i was near it.

That sucks. My wifes car got crushed by a huge pine tree a few years ago. Talk about a mess.

Hey bzz I think that car is having a hard time toting that tree around...did you not have your truck yet.

Those tires gotta be load rated class d so you should have been OK?

Next time just remember to use the right tool for the job. A Chevy truck always works best as they crumple really nice, as shown in the first photo, and don't damage the bark on the tree.

Shadow. Actually the story go's a little like this. I had had my truck for only 2 weeks when this storm came through. We have a one car driveway and I was parked behind my wife. She wanted to go to the store, so I had to back out to let here out. When she left I pulled back in up to the house. When she returned, she parked behind me. One hour later the storm came and uprooted my neighbors tree and it landed on her car. If you look real close you can see the taillight of my truck in front of her car. We had to borrow every chainsaw in the neighborhood and it took us till three in the morning to get it just so we could get her car out of the driveway so we could get my truck out. The tree went all the way across our yard and into the other neighbors, so I couldn't even drive through the yard to get my truck out. You really find out who your friends are when you need them in the middle of the night, and I found out I had alot that night. The strange part is I was standing on the front porch and actually saw the tree coming down. I was almost like it fell in slow motion. It didn't really crash into it. It kinda just came to rest on it. I came in the house and told my wife "Your not gonna believe this". You can imagine the rest.

If I had not moved it would have landed right across the bed of my truck. My wife said that it was probably better cause she was ready for a new car and if it had landed on my new truck we would have probably had to take me to the hospital with heart problems. She ended up getting a new car out of the deal, so she was happy.

By the way, in case you didn't notice the car under the tree in a Ford Thunderbird and we both know that this is about the only way you can kill a Ford.

Dang. Good thing nobody was in it. But hey look at the bright side. Cut the top off and you got a good hunting truck.
