I was fortunate to be able to go out with my buddy to some private property Christmas Eve! (Wife wasn't too happy)! We came across a herd of 12 pigs around 9 am and took three! 2 sows and a boar! This was my first hog and I think I'm hooked. I couldn't believe that there was 3 inches of fat under that tough hide!

If you think your wife was a littlel unhinged about you going out on Christmas Eve, just wait until this fever really starts cooking off. I'd recommend hiding the skillet now, or stocking up on ibuprofen.

Thanks guys for the comments! Luckily we just got married in July( the start of deer season) and she has gotten used to me hunting since day one! It's just that now I have a new animal to hunt all year long!

I do alot of things to keep my brownie points high! Also she made out well for Christmas and I even made it home in time to take a shower and head out to the in-laws! What a day!

I've been with my wife for 11 years now and I still catch hell for hunting all the time and she even goes deer hunting with me.
