cleaning lenses

How do you folks clean your scopes and binos safely? I had one of those Leupold lense pens with the brush on one side and the squeegee on the other. It worked out pretty good before it broke. I was wondering if there is a solution that can get the bluish rainbow crap that ends up on them. I used some of those lense wipes for glasses and they seem to work but they leave some residue that doesn't completely dry off.Any suggestions?

I mainly use the lens pen you mentioned. You can also go to places that sell glasses and they have a kit that includes a solution and cloth to clean tham with.

Check out your local camera stores.  They usually have kits you can get.  

Just be very gentle when you clean.
