At the very least he is contriversial, and has been accused of purposely wounding and prodding animals to get a charge on video.

I made the mistake of mentioning this guy to my PH last year, his ungentlemanly reaction to the hunting vids of this guy spoke volumes for how legit hunting operations feel about this example of african hunting. The last thing a PH wants is dead clients

I'm not even sure who "this guy" is. I just found this video and thought I'd ask. I'm guessing based on ya'lls' responses that this isn't typical African hunting.

Letting the animals charge you and then to shoot isn't typical anywhere. He has a death wish.

That is a pretty Bad Azz video and the PH, no matter who he is has some of the biggest brass balls ever.

Mark Sullivan has been under the microscope for years over in Africa because of his methods of hunting, in his own words "letting the animal die on his own terms". Basically fight or flight. Sullivan will walk up behind the animal and instead of shooting it like most PH's would he'll wait for the charge. Makes for great footage but how ethical it's is I don't know. If the guy wants to keep putting himself in harms way so be it but he may end up like the Croc Hunter.
