No wildlife agecy can raise money like our Division of Wildlife. Last year the DOW made more than twice amount as the next highest state in License revenue.
They say they're trying to make the Forbes 500 list
Here's my favorite part, out of the DOW's $100,000,000+ budget last year, they spent a whooping $3,000,000 on deer and elk management even though those two species brought in over $50,000,000 in tag sales !!!
$1,983,507 for Deer
$1,021,132 for Elk
And our poor DOW needs more. The state Senate were the ones that mandated 60% of the habitat stamp funds be used for Biggame winter range, not the DOW. And if you didn't agree with the fee increase bill, you werent invited to be part of the so-called "Sportmens Advisory Commitee". And our Texan-Govenor made it so the DOW couldn't aquire the land outright, only lease it so the money is wasted if the Landowners decide to discontinue the lease.
