Just found out the wife is gone for the weekend, so I am thinking about grabbing my bow and trying my hand at some Elk. I can still get an over the counter tag but have no clue where to go. I am hoping to keep it close (2 hours or so) anyone have any good ideas, anything would help. Thanks.

I hunted up near aspen last year and I saw good numbers of elk in the wilderness areas. But I ended up killing a bull closer to glenwood.

I've seen a lot of elk in the units around Meeker. Good luck wherever you go.

GMU 18 would only be a couple of hours at most and I've seen Elk in the Hot Sulfer Springs area
