Coachella Valley Quail Hunting

I'm looking for information about hunting in the Coachella Valley, specifically around the Indio-Mecca corridor. I used to get into huge Gambel's coveys out at the Thermal Airport, but that was about 15 years ago. Anyone ever find any good spots out that way?

Not recently, but, I have found birds in that general area, as most places, the posted land is the major hurdle to jump!
Birds are out there still! And, as with every other area in this 'Golden State' one must get out there, and pay them dues to find them.
Last time I searched that general area, I didn't bag any, but, I most certainly gave chase to them!

It's a bit east, but for the dove opener in Niland, field 27 near the canal, we saw a few coveys of quail.
