Anyone tried hunting the Coalinga BLM properties yet? I have an interview in Coalinga on Tuesday and will be giving an area over there a try afterwards. My interview will be done mid-day and that is not the time I want to be climbing the hills over there. Since I will be an hour and a half away from home, I might as well slowly climb the hill and wait for the sun to go down. No use in coming back home when the hills are just right around the corner. I hope to either run into a nice buck or a porker will do as well.

Man, I almost forgot about this post LOL. Anywho, driving halfway to coalinga, I noticed that I forgot my archery tag. I did bring my archery equipment though. So after the interview, I sadly turned around and headed for home. I would have loved to climb the steep hills at over 100 degrees that day. LOL

Curry mountain is the first hill west of Coalinga on Highway 198.

Awesome, thanks. But I thought Coalinga Mineral Springs was the first one. Of course, I may be wrong because I drove out that way only once.
