Coalinga Mineral Springs / Stockdale Mountain

Going to Mineral Springs tomorrow morning and then Stockdale mountain Saturday morning... Anybody been to either lately??? I have never been to either one.. usually go to Big Sandy or Clear Creek but to many bikes this time of the year at Clear creek.

Been to mineral springs and all I got was a bunch ticks!! There is some more BLM property on the way in but it is not marked, so find a map. Maybe you should try curry mountain down the road...

At Stockdale, make sure you know exactly where you are stepping on. The private land owner next to Stockdale is an a#$%*^"@. Do a search here and you'll know exactly what I am talking about. It's not worth it.

Lots of BLM land at Stockdale Mountain; but real easy to get in trouble with neighboring land owners. Be very careful, you will be watched.

Huntin Fool probably had the best idea. Long uphill hike to get to hunting area, but once in a great while there is game on public land at Curry Mountain.
