Colorado success

Six of us just got back from a Wilderness horseback hunt in northwest Colorado's First Rifle Season. Three of us drew cow tags and three of us had bull tags in our pockets when we started. We packed out one 4x5 and two cows. It was the first elk hunt for two of the guys and the first elk taken by two of the other guys. We had a ball even though we worked our butts off packing out elk and a spike camp before the Second Rife Season got underway. Can't wait to do it again.

Congratulations!! Job well done. I also had a bull Elk tag for first season. I harvested a 5x5 bull about 6 miles in the backcountry. I had the best time of my life.

I've tried 5 or 6 times to post some pictures, but to no avail. I guess you'll have to take my word for it.

I did nothing different and this time it took my pictures. Oh well.
