Colorado unit to hunt archery?

Looking for unit to Hunt Elk in Colorado with good public access for archery, willing to wait a few years to draw, not too concerned with a trophy looking for a quality time. Any help will be greatly appreciated(new at this elk stuff) I'll figure exactly where just need a start.

Welcome to JHO...

Colorado has over-the-counter elk tags for most units for archery only. You should go to the Colorado Division of Wildlife webpage and read through everything there. It's very easy to get an elk tag and there are many, many places to hunt elk on public land.

Well.....its good that your not concerned with quality. There are some good Bulls taken every year, but 90% are raghorns

Look at units 44 and 43, good access and some decent bulls were around when we left a couple of years ago.
