Got this from my DU rep:

Dear DU Volunteer,

I’m writing to ask for your help with a very important legislative issue; support for the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA).

Every year Congress has the opportunity to fund this important program that helps conserve vital waterfowl habitat across our continent. This is literally a situation where our tax dollars can be put to work to help bolster waterfowl populations!

The House and Senate will soon be drafting their appropriation bills for this year’s funding. Currently there is a “Dear Colleague” letter that is being circulated for members to sign onto that provides support for funding the program at its maximum potential. We need to let our Members of Congress know we expect them to support NAWCA. It’s good for waterfowl and waterfowl hunters!

Please click here and follow the directions to call your Congressmen, or go to and look for the NAWCA link at the top of the page.

It’s simple and you’ll just need to let the office staffer who answers the phone know that you would like for your Representative / Senator to please sign the Dear Colleague letter to support the highest funding level possible for the NAWCA.

Last year NAWCA was fully funded and our phone calls helped make this a reality. We are the voice for the ducks, let’s make it happen again this year!

Thanks in advance for your help with this important issue and please pass this on to every waterfowl hunter you know.
