I hunt with the Barnes Mrx. I dont aim behind the shoulders, I try to take out both shoulders so I follow the leg and aim there.

Makes me want to shoot a Barnes exclusively.......[/b]

I am in the process of switching over to non-lead ammo exclusively also. Here in California Lead is a dinosaur from the past, and the new high tech Barnes Triple-Shock copper bullets are in. However, I haven't killed anything with copper yet, so I have nothing to backup my theory other than being a high tech Californian.

I went out to the rifle range on Sunday and shot-off at least 60 rounds of 30-06 Managed Recoil (lead) ammo just to get rid of it. It was supposed to be for my teenager, but nowadays he would rather play the keyboard in his Rock Band. No problem! I love to shoot anyway's. Now, I plan to shoot the rest of my lead ammo at the rifle range, so that I wont have to worry about what zone I'm hunting in.

It's an interesting video, and was posted and discussed here somewhere earlier.

While there's some good information about lead versus copper performance there, I found the bit about risks to human health a bit over the top and totally unsupported by practical experience or by science (so far).

Anytime an organization or individual resorts to this kind of propaganda, the motive becomes suspect. They're passing as fact, supposition and unsubstantiated theory. That reeks of an agenda.

Does it bear review? Yes. If there's a risk, or even the risk of a risk, it's worth the research and consideration. But don't let the hyperbole sway your common sense.
