cow tags for montana

ive been looking for an area near great falls that would give us a shot at a cow elk.i put in for the big game combo but my dad and uncle need tags and i need a backup if i dont get drawn ive been studying the regs. but want to see if i could get some other suggestions.thanks in advance

Drawing results are up. We didnt get drawn. Oh well i guess its off to Oregon.

I don't have the current regs but there are areas in the little belts that are either sex. About a 45 min drive from GF. I'm not sure however if non-resident tags are over the counter. I know resident tags are. I do know that non-resident tags are pretty pricey. The cost of tags should be in the regs as well. You want to look at hunting districts 413 and 432. Best advice I can give you if you're looking to stay close to GF.
