Well today was my first predator hunt. I followed strict scent protocol. Got to my sit 1430 wind in my face with a huge hill to my back. Started calling and had all kinds of bird of prey come but no coyotes. Line of sight appx 60-80 yards what am i doing wrong? Their is scat all over the place. Water was near as well.

What area were you in? If you don't want to say, PM me. I have taken them out of a few different areas over the past month.

Nonmilitary cannot hunt the base...even civilian PSC members are banned. That said, 2:30pm may be the problem...try dawn 11am and 3:30 to dusk. Also try to position yourself high, in shadow with a 200 yard FOV. Spotting em is easier when you have better visibility.

Even after the fire I have seen coyotes moving that have been healthy and alert over the last two days in both Pulgas and Fallbrook. PM me or hit me up in the GAL and we can talk locations
