I am looking for some coyote hunting spots around San Jose.  I have tried the Little Panoche BLM area, but seems too dry for anything to live there.  Also tried upper Cottonwood WA, lower Cottonwood WA and the O'nell Forebay WA.  Only ever connected at Little Panoche WA and at the O'nell Forebay and both times were when I was bird hunting and just happened on a coyote.  A load of #2s at 20 yards drops them hard!!  So anyone have any areas, any places to even start?  I can hunt shotgun or rifle.

Try Clear Creek by Hollister and San Luis Reservoir (this is shotgun only). San Luis has designated areas and you have to sign.

Hello all, I am new to the forum.  Im 18 years old and I live in San Jose as well.  I haven't seen any coyotes at Upper Cottonwood but I did see a bobcat about 30 yards from the parking lot last spring.
