I have caught a few crappies fishing these ponds but all dinkers but yesterday morning I caught to nice big ones on the fly, since I catch and release it makes me wonder if it was the same one twice but never the less it is exciting to catch them on the fly for a fish with such a tiny mouth u got to hook them just right they are a feisty little fish...tra

^^^^^nice job, but that is definitely a bluegill. Commonly called a bream down in the south.

Thanks guys, Damn I guess u guys are right I just looked it up, They look almost the same as a crappie, I have always been a hard core trout guy in Ca. and now fishing here in Florida I having a hard time figuring out some of these fish I am catching for the first time in my life, I am such a late bloomer when it comes to fishing and different fish spices, I feel like an idiot rookie for sure now. So are these good size for bluegill, look like they would be a tasty fish for a morning fish fry breakfast omelette...tra
