If it was a banned rifle it would be charged as a felony. If he was a prohibited person it would also be a felony charge.

The DA must have come under some tremedous pressure to charge the guy with something, anything.

I started a fire at Spenceville on time. I was shooting my M-1A with some Chinese ammo and a whiff of smoke started curling up. By the time I ran 300 yards up hill with a shovel, it was too late to do anything.

There were plenty of other people there so bugging out wasn't an option. I decided to stick around and take my medicine. The fire department (actually CDF) showed up and proceeded to put the thing out. They never asked who started the fire or anything. Must have been a common occurance. They told us the range was closed and to go home. They didn't have to tell me twice.
