D-11 opener , D14 second week , D11 today...is it too HOT for bucks ? Thoughts ? legs are sore!!

Seen nothing but Does past 2 1/2 weeks....7 today in D11 , 8 this weekend D14, Opener saw 2 Does ...No bucks? Is it too Hot ? Thoughts? :confused:

You're correct it's hot. We've taken bucks in 100 degree heat before. I saw a couple bucks before the season started, we've heard some shots around us, and we've seen a couple way off. It's harder when it's hot, combine it with the bright moon and they won't be active during the day. Good luck.

Steep canyons on the north facing slopes is you best bet. the big boys don't like the heat, especially when they toting around winter coats. my experience since 1986 with the d14 bucks has been to keep a eye on the does, the last 10 days of the season. IMHO. this is your best bet in taking a buck.

I think some of it is off limits, a little of the southern end of D11. Good luck solus,

What say you Jeepman, i wont hold you to it, nice bubbling spring with fresh tracks or North facing slopes ?

I've seen total of 15 does from d 11 to d14 aswell 1 spike. I'm running out of excuses gates closed,full moon, too hot. Wife tells me if it was back in he day we would be starving. I told her we would have been vegetarians.jk

talked to my friend that does the maintenance at mitsubishi plant ,and his cousin took monday morning a 5x4 23 to 24 inch width 18 length.
it was a monster d11.
