I called it. Didn't need government shutdowns to ruin my hunt. It seems as though they will put it out and weather will be favorable for the rest of the week. Hope the forest is open Sat. I can't imagine waiting any longer to hunt.

Revo, I sent you a PM. Gate was open last weekend, but I'm not going to bother checking again 'til Thursday or Friday. Fire, Rain, Shutdown-- Two reasons to close it, and one reason not to open it again. Looks like a backup plan for me.

I don't know if Bedford is closed for sure, but imagine it is. They closed Maple Springs Road when the red flag warning started and it is still closed. I doubt they will open it this weekend, but I hope I'm wrong.
