I have a d390 that I might have smoked. I attempted to add a slave flash to the wiring on the pixcontroller board. It did not work, so I dewired it and tried to go back to the original, it will not power up at this point does anyone know what might have happened and if it is a simple fix.

What does it do when you open the cover with fresh batteries and a card in it?
Not hooked up to the Pix board?

these cameras run on packaged smoke..................... and in must stay in the camera..........
Sounds like you let the smoke OUT.

I bought a couple off e-bay that were not working, 1 was DOA like yours. OLY service wanted $107.00 bucks.set rate for problem discibed .......................... that did not happen.
The other one was still under warranty and they fixed no charge, that did happen.
I'd say hang on to for parts or another science experiment later...........

Look at the bright side.....bet you don't do that again

That is the second of three bought on ebay refurbished from Olympus.

The first one went back because it only worked for 5 pictures then it would fire up but the shutter would not engage. I did not even touch a screw on that one.

I spoke with Olympus told them what the camera was doing they said to send it in for exchange, they did not ask if I opened it, so I did not tell them....
